Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) has an opportunity for an accomplished Systems Engineer to join our team. ATSC is a dynamic and rapidly growing company recognized for its innovation and excellence in defense contracting and technology solutions. Our primary product lines include Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), Counter – Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), hardware platforms, and air drop.
Essential Responsibilities
We are seeking someone with strong problem-solving skills, engineering team leadership, technical writing, and communication skills in support of an array of existing and future work for US Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and foreign defense (FMS) customers. You will have the ability to develop systems requirements, integrate sensors (EO/IR, Radar, RF Inhibitors, BMS, PIR’s, Annunciators, Video Management systems, and Security Networks to include Cisco networks) integrate Command and Control software, define products with control systems, and work Bid and Proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field and minimum of five (5) years of Systems Engineering experience.
- Previous work with DOD program of record systems (preference towards US Army TSS or SSS programs or US Air force programs).
- Previous customer interface with Government Engineering and PMO groups.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Competent with large-scale, distributed, federated system architectures, database technologies, virtualization methodologies, wired/wireless data communications, fiber optics, network, and cyber security.
- Experience providing Integrated Ground Security Surveillance Response Capability (IGSSR-C) Command and Control (C2) software and hardware for its Operator Station.
- Experience with design, procurement, and installation of security systems for DOD facilities that include SCIFs, perimeter, prisons, and flight Lines.
- Familiarity with the following documents: UFCGS, UFC 4-021-02, DOD 8510.1, 8500.1, 8140.01, 8570.01-M, AF131-101, ICS 705-1, Army Directive 2014-05, Army Regulation (AR) 25-2, AR 190-13.
- Working knowledge of Air Force Electronic security systems doctrine.
- Certifications with systems such as Advantor, Vindicator, VICADS, Lenel OnGuard and Milestone
- Experience with Pursuits, Bids, Proposals, etc.
- Experience leading a multi-disciplined team throughout the development life cycle.
- Experience managing suppliers and writing Statement of Work (SOWs).
- Experience as a technical Focal into major OEM’s and Military Customers.
- Experience with System Level Test and Troubleshooting (In-house and in Field).
- Experience writing/leading trade studies, use cases, white papers, etc.
- Ability to write and deploy system processes.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is typically performed in an office setting with occasional field work.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Some travel may be required for construction activities and site surveys.
