Position Overview

The CFO is responsible for the financial health of MDTA, overseeing financial strategies, internal controls, and collaborating with senior leadership to support transportation infrastructure projects and revenue preservation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, forecasts, and analysis related to toll revenue, budgets, and debt management.
  • Manage the organization’s investment portfolio and debt portfolio.
  • Prepare materials for the MDTA Board and legislative committees.
  • Procure services and manage contracts valued at approximately $300 million annually.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and trust agreements.
  • Collaborate on tolling activities, revenue assurance, and federal funding.
  • Manage insurance and asset safeguarding.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with at least 10 years of progressive financial management experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role. Additional desirable qualifications include CPA, MBA, experience in bond issuance, and federal government experience.
