Commodity sourcing and management of EE components. Oversees all aspects of sourcing related functions including communication with suppliers/manufacturers and internal teams, establish deliverable deadlines, on-board suppliers and provide support cross-functionally per the assigned commodities
Day to Day:
- Manage EE components on PCBA BOMs, negotiating contracts and pricing with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Drive cost avoidance and reduction initiatives in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Review BOMs to establish alternate sourcing strategies for critical single-source components and resolve issues such as obsolescence, LTB, and NRND.
- Manage RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with suppliers while providing support as an escalation path for component Clear-To-Build (CTB) shortages.
- Attend CTB meetings with EMS suppliers and manage component Part Purchase Variance (PPV).
- Provide component forecasts to manufacturers, review suppliers' PCNs and internal changes, and place purchasing requests/orders.
- Drive commodity strategies for assigned components and lead annual business reviews with suppliers.
Must Have:
- 4-7 years of direct work experience on EE components
- Project/program management experience within Supply Chain
- Experience in managing tools and systems such as Smartsheet, Confluence, MS Excel, JIRA, SAP or similar ERP system (skilled in Excel okay- can learn other ERP systems)
- Background in engineering, preferably with semiconductors or related (degree or work experience)
- Demonstrated capability to refine and articulate problem statements to wide audience (engineering, quality, reliability, legal and leaderships)
- Can multi-task and manage high complexity programs
- Great and clear communication (verbally and in writing) – will be doing document write-ups
