Reporting directly to operations leadership, this role will provide a high degree of autonomy and ownership over your work and the purchasing duties for the company. In this role, you will execute a variety of purchasing related goals and tasks to support operations, accounting, and the field team.

In this role, you will:
- Participate as an active member of the team, attending all department meetings and providing input on improving department performance and efficiency.
- Efficiently utilize builder software (Buildertrend) and help to implement and improve builder processes related to purchasing, invoicing, scheduling, selections, and warranty.
- Complete and submit building permit and utility installation applications.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all phases of construction and related estimating/cost code items.
- Assist with estimating tasks and goals to create and maintain a systematic cost analysis process.
- Work to create an efficient bidding and purchase order process, in the most efficient manner possible.
- Develop a professional and ethical relationship with our trade partners.
- Assist with builder specification and marketing document updates to ensure that information is current and accurate.
- Assist in managing and tracking builder home plan library updates to ensure accurate master plans.
The successful candidate will bring:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or other construction program a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Thorough understanding of all stages of construction.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed construction blueprints, specifications, and detailed development drawings.
- Basic technology skills, including Microsoft Excel, Windows, Outlook (email). And experience with a builder software system a plus.
