Job Title: Sr. Manager, Product Engineering Location: Fremont, CA This individual will be resident expert on a product line from an engineering standpoint. He/she will be the product architect for a particular product line. Responsibilities include defining product architecture from an electromechanical design standpoint and Technical Project Management as part of Product development Process for a particular product line as a member of the PDP team led by a Program Manager responsible for the larger Program encompassing all functions associated with product development (Finance, Manufacturing, Process technology, Procurement, Product Marketing Management, and Engineering). This is an individual contributor role with Technical Product Engineering management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:Specify, design, analyze, simulate, prototypes, builds, tests, documents, and releases to manufacturing required electro-mechanical systems of significantly complex scope.Serve as Technical Project Manager within the Product Development Process.Interface with Product Marketing Management and Program Management teams as a single point of contact for technical product management decisions.Interface with engineering teams (Electrical, simulation, mechanical, Process and Software) in order to ensure these technical functions deliver the requirements for delivery of new products meeting market requirements.Manage projects with notable risk and complexity; develop strategies for project execution from a technical standpoint.Organize, plan, track, and resolve design problems associated with product performance in engineering, manufacturing, and the field.Interface with internal and external customers regarding significantly complex engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for a range of products.Work with appropriate departments to ensure design specifications meet or exceed all applicable regulatory standards.Problem identification and troubleshooting of a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems.Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership team. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent (MS/PhD preferred) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.10-15 years related experience or equivalent.Experienced leader who knows how to cut across functional boundaries in order to meet product requirementsSelf-motivated and proactive to try new approaches and creatively solve problemsExcellent written and analytical skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within an environment of changing priorities with enthusiasm.Acute attention to detailDemonstrated ability to lead, plan and organize projectsProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesGood judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsCreative, flexible, and innovative leaderExperience in Semiconductor Equipment Industry highly desirableRegarded as a technical expert in their particular fieldProficient in the use of SolidWorks PDM Travel Requirements: Approximately 10% travel, including 5% Domestic and 5% International. Compensation:The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $180,000 per year; higher compensation may be available depending on advanced skills and/or specific experience.
