Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and driven Process Engineer to develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from inception through to start-up and certification. The ideal candidate will be analytical, hands-on, and a proactive problem solver with experience in Diebond/Wirebond within fast-paced optics or aerospace environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing and production processes to drive efficiency and consistency.
  • Assess process performance through measurements, data analysis, and ongoing evaluation.
  • Design, test, and upgrade systems and workflows to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and implement best practices, routines, and innovative solutions that enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Conduct and interpret process simulations and experiments.
  • Manage time, cost, and resources effectively to meet project goals.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare clear documentation, including process flow diagrams, SOPs, and operating instructions.
  • Solve complex, multi-faceted production and technical challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as R&D, Product Engineering, and Product Line Management to validate requirements and ensure milestones are met.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Mentor, coach, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Diebond and Wirebond processes, ideally in a semiconductor, opto-electronics, or aerospace environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Proven analytical thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and experience managing technical projects.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments and at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Regular standing, walking, and sitting; occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Close vision and attention to detail required.
  • Work environment is typically quiet and controlled.
