Infusion RN

We are seeking a dedicated Infusion Nurse to join our oncology team. This role involves providing direct patient care and managing a three-chair assignment per day in an outpatient infusion setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience in chemotherapy administration, and a passion for patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive treatments under physician supervision
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and respond appropriately to clinical changes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations with confidence and skill

Technical Proficiency

• Demonstrate strong IV insertion and infusion skills
• Manage and troubleshoot central venous access devices
• Collect blood specimens and perform therapeutic phlebotomy
• Administer injections including chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and other therapeutic agents

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care
• Prioritize multiple clinical tasks and maintain accurate documentation
• Follow all safety protocols when handling hazardous substances

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or infusion care
• Familiarity with chemotherapy/biotherapy regimens and outpatient oncology workflows

Certifications

• BLS Certification (required)
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (required within 90 days of hire)
• OCN Certification (preferred)
