The Human Resources Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The ideal candidate is people-oriented, organized, and has a thorough knowledge of HR best practices.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment efforts including job postings, screening applicants, and conducting interviews.
  • Manage the onboarding process to ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and create job descriptions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues through effective conflict resolution strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts and new hire guides.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives (e.g., diversity programs, employee engagement).
  • Assist in the implementation of performance review systems.
  • Work with managers to support employee development and performance improvement plans.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments and changes.
  • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping.
  • Answer employee questions about compensation and benefits.
  • Support the coordination and tracking of employee training programs.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and recommending relevant programs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of HR generalist experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR laws, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficient with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
