Job Summary:
We are seeking aresults-driven, product-savvy, and market-sensitive Category Managerwithat least 5 years of experience in the furniture industry. This role requires deep product understanding—not just how products are made but why they resonate with consumers. Ideal candidates have a strong track record inproduct developmentandcategory managementacross key furniture segments, such asgarage organization, kitchen storage, bedroom/bedding, living room seating, home office furniture, or outdoor furniture. Our current hiring priority is forthree of these categories.
This is a strategic role for someone who can identify winning products, guide the development process, and drive go-to-market success in collaboration with U.S.-based sales and design teams, as well as China-based R&D and sourcing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manageend-to-end product developmentacross selected home furniture categories, from ideation to launch.
- Recruit and guide category-specific Product Managers for key areas such as garage, kitchen, bedroom, living room, study, or outdoor.
- Conduct in-depthmarket, trend, and competitor analysisboth online and in-store.
- Understandwhy products are popularand apply those insights to build differentiated, high-demand product assortments.
- Drive category growth throughsmart assortment planning, pricing strategy, and merchandising.
- Collaborate closely withfactories and supplierson timelines, costing, quality control, and logistics.
- Partner cross-functionally with design, R&D, sales, and marketing teams to align product strategy with business goals.
- Present product insights, category opportunities, and forecasts to senior leadership.
- ManageP&L, track category performance, and optimize margins and inventory turnover.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and retailer-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of5 years of experienceincategory management or product developmentin thefurniture industry, ideally within thehome category.
- Strong product sense with the ability toanalyze, explain, and anticipate product popularity.
- Deep understanding offurniture construction,materials, andconsumer buying behaviorin the home category.
- Excellent skills inpricing strategy,competitive positioning, andcost structure analysis.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and factory communications (preferably in China).
- Proficient inproduct lifecycle management,market planning, andsales forecasting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; comfortable managing cross-functional and international teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and fluency in relevant data and planning tools.
Job Type:
Full-time; Onsite – Irvine, CA (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Pay: $90,000 - 150,000 per year
