Payactiv is seeking a Director, Software Quality Assurance based out of our Milpitas, CA corporate office.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and best practices.
- Oversee automation testing for mobile, web UI, and APIs.
- Drive development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks using tools like Appium, Cucumber, Selenium.
- Manage test data and environment setup.
- Analyze product stability, prepare quality reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Lead performance testing activities, including API performance evaluation with tools like JMeter.
- Manage all QA testing phases: System, Integration, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, Performance, Data verification, and Acceptance testing.
- Promote software quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
- Lead adoption of modern testing automation frameworks such as Detox, Cypress, Robotium.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning within the QA team.
What You Need
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience.
- Expertise in test automation tools: Appium, Cucumber, Selenium.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, Java, Kotlin.
- Strong database querying skills.
- Experience in strategic planning, task analysis, estimation, and quality delivery.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills
- Performance testing experience with JMeter and similar tools.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA discipline knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience scaling QA teams in agile environments.
