Job Description
As a Reinsurance Intern, you will assist the Reinsurance Department with tasks associated with our system conversation, research, and general administration support.
This is a Binghamton home office position.
Description of Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist with the review, organization and migration of reinsurance data into the new system.
• Assist with testing the accuracy of the system treaties by developing and executing test plans in parallel with clients’ files.
• Support the research of unique treaty characteristics and report findings back to management.
• Collaborate with team members, internal clients and management to identify and proactively resolve discrepancies.
• Support validation efforts to ensure external client data integrity and compare to reinsurance source documents.
• Provide general administrative support to the reinsurance team.
• Special projects as needed or assigned by management.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must be dependable and able to adhere to a work schedule.
Education Required: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business, Actuarial Science or a related degree. Two years of completed college coursework required. Completion of three years of college coursework preferred.
Pay Range: $17.00 to $21.00 hourly
The starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.
