Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Analyze lease operating statements and assess key financial and operational metrics, including expense trends, price and volume variances, and overall performance results
- Research and apply complex accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to meet deliverables and support business initiatives
- Partner with internal and external auditors by providing documentation and support during audits and reviews
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness; implement and maintain documentation of changes
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of public accounting or mix of public and industry
- CPA preferred
- E&P experience
