Job Details
  • Review and oversee the preparation of individual, trust, estate, and business tax returns.
  • Analyze financial documents and estate planning materials to ensure accurate tax reporting.
  • Lead tax planning initiatives and research complex tax issues.
  • Manage multiple tax engagements and supervise staff accountants and interns.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, assisting with business development efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and tax authorities.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, fostering professional growth.
  • Prepare client billings and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Draft internal memoranda and correspondence related to tax matters.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax and accounting, preferably with a focus on trusts and estates.
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in a CPA firm, specializing in trusts, estates, and complex tax returns.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation software such as ProSystems or Access.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional excellence.
