Addison Group is partnering with a respected legal firm seeking a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to support their expanding team. Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Workers’ Compensation Paralegal with recent experience in handling claims and legal documentation. You’ll work closely with attorneys and legal assistants in a dynamic and collaborative office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, gather, and manage documentation related to workers’ compensation cases
- Maintain accurate case files and assist with legal correspondence and filings
- Provide support to more than one attorney as needed
- Flexibly assist across other legal areas when required
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal staff
- Utilize Microsoft Office daily; familiarity with iManage is a plus
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience specifically in workers’ compensation law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; iManage experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not mandatory
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Additional Details:
- Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Location: Fully on-site at client’s Greenbelt, MD office
- Weekly Hours: 40 (Not eligible for overtime)
- Start Date: Immediately after final interview
Interview Process:
- Virtual Interview with the Office Manager and Director of HR
- In-Person Interview with HR and one of the attorneys
