Summary of Job: The Nurse Manager position is responsible for all nursing services under the direction of the Site Leader. The Nurse Manager position also works closely with the Medical Director to coordinate and improve clinical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
  2. Supervises, evaluates, and provides leadership and coaching to nursing personnel.
  3. Arranges coverage for nurse absences.
  4. Provides Clinical Supervision to nursing staff.
  5. Compliance & Risk Management:
  6. Assures that the delivery of nursing care complies with licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
  7. Completes clinical documentation as required.
  8. Responsible for specific level of care in the building
  9. Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  10. Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  11. Cross Functional Collaboration:
  12. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes and medical care.
  13. Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services including pharmacy and laboratory services.
  14. Additional Duties:
  15. Works as an RN in a variety of capacities during staff shortages and in emergent situations.
  16. Performs other related duties assigned.

Job Requirements:

  1. Education/Licenses:
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent experience required, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  3. Valid and current state-specific Registered Nurse license (Compact licensure preferred)
  4. Experience
  5. Four (4) years of nursing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  6. Two (2) years of behavioral health nursing.
  7. Two (2) years of management experience.
  8. Skills
  9. Basic computer skills.
  10. Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  11. Ability to problem solve.
  12. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  13. Effective listening skills.
  14. Excellent documentation skills.
  15. Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion.
  16. Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
  17. Driving Requirements:
  18. If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations' driving policy.
  19. If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.
  20. Miscellaneous Requirement(s)
  21. Travel required based on business need.
  22. Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement.
  23. Successful complete and meet all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process if applicable.
  24. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

  27. Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable).
  28. Must be able to pass education verification check.
  29. Must be able to obtain designated fingerprinting clearance in applicable states.
  30. Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
