Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to play a key role in analyzing operational data, supporting business systems, and working closely with internal stakeholders to improve decision-making across our multi-location retail environment. This role requires strong SQL skills for querying and reporting, as well as working knowledge of C# to support or enhance in-house applications and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations, sales, inventory, and IT teams to gather requirements and provide data-driven insights.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and report on data from various business systems.
- Support and contribute to development efforts in C# (primarily for internal tools, automation, or reporting applications).
- Analyze sales trends, inventory movements, and customer purchasing patterns across multiple retail locations.
- Identify gaps in process, propose improvements, and support implementation with technical solutions.
- Assist with integration efforts between systems (POS, inventory, ERP) and support testing/documentation.
- Develop and maintain dashboards or reports for business users.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support for business decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
To be eligible for the Business Analyst position, you must possess:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical/technical role.
- A strong proficiency in SQL (MS SQL Server preferred) - able to write complex joins, subqueries, and perform data transformation.
- Experience with C# for scripting, application support, or automation.
- Familiarity with retail operations, inventory management, or POS systems (tire/automotive retail experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with tools like Power BI, Excel, or Tableau for data visualization, an understanding of ERP or inventory systems commonly used in retail, familiarity with supply chain or logistics data, and knowledge of ST/LT tire categories or related industry insight are preferred.
