About the clinician's workday



The schedule includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with call and rounding expected during the 24-hour coverage periods. The hospital has 193 beds, uses Epic for EMR, and is a Level IV trauma center. Most patients are adults, though children may occasionally come through the ER. The support team includes an ACS APRN and standard nursing staff. Candidates must have a KY or compact license and be board certified with BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and a DEA license. Expected procedures include general surgeries such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, appendectomies, hernia repairs, hysterectomies, gallbladder removals, biopsies, C-sections, and basic thoracic cases. Call volume is estimated at 10 or more, with total volume up to 2028 cases.
