We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Permanent EHS Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Health, Lock Out Tag Out Certification, and CSP.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Lead the implementation of a behavior-based safety culture across the organization.
3. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
4. Provide training and education to all employees on EHS practices, policies, and procedures.
5. Manage Lock Out Tag Out programs and ensure all equipment is properly tagged and locked out during maintenance and repair.
6. Respond to and investigate incidents, accidents, and safety-related issues, and develop strategies to prevent their recurrence.
7. Liaise with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure the organization remains in compliance with EHS regulations.
8. Monitor changes in EHS regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
9. Develop and deliver EHS reports and presentations to senior management, detailing performance, issues, and solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is required.
4. Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001.
5. Strong experience in managing Lock Out Tag Out programs.
6. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential hazards and develop effective solutions.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver clear and concise EHS reports and presentations.
9. Proficient in MS Office Suite and EHS management systems.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
