Position Purpose
We're seeking spirited "can do" people to join our Manufacturing team in the exciting world of hazmat compliance. Responsible for composition of art layouts and generation of films for Silkscreen Printing Presses. Assist with composition of art layouts and generation of film and plates for Flexographic Presses. Use Adobe Creative cloud (primarily Illustrator), to produce flawless, accurate files for output. Act as liaison between Art Department and Manufacturing Department to promote seamless integration and efficient workflow.
Essential Functions & Principal Accountabilities
General Pre-Press Functions ( Primary Role )
Check job tickets for accuracy and follow up with any discrepancies
Review production schedules and ensure timely completion of pre-press tasks.
Prepare, step, and distort art files as necessary for Flexographic printing jobs.
Create, print, and file films for Flexographic printing jobs.
Maintain organized files for pre-press materials, including artwork, electronic files, films, and plates.
Set up, troubleshoot, and assist with maintaining pre-press equipment, such as plate-making machines and printers.
Maintain inventory and order supplies for pre-press production.
Support the team with timely completion of jobs, including making plates for Flexographic printing when needed.
Silkscreen-Specific Functions (Secondary Role)
Set up pre-press files for silk screen jobs.
Touch up and print new/replacement films for silk screen production.
Maintain electronic files for all silk screen jobs and ensure films are filed properly.
Assist with maintaining silkscreen-related equipment when necessary.
Provide support in reviewing job tickets, layouts, and press schedules related to silk screen jobs.
**General Responsibilities **
Proofread artwork and provide feedback to artists for any revisions.
Enter job-tracking data into the workflow management system and ensure accurate tracking of job progress.
Participate in cross-training for various tasks and maintain a flexible approach to departmental needs.
Maintain compliance with ISO quality standards and support the safety policies of the workplace.

- Education/Training/Experience
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent. College level and/or trade school coursework is a plus.
Both Mac and Windows operating system knowledge
Adobe Illustrator (Adobe Creative Suite)
MS Office skills
Pre-Press Production

College-level coursework or trade school training in related fields.
Experience with pre-press production processes, particularly in Flexographic and Silk Screen printing.
