Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role requires an understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and experience with accounting software. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and supporting the financial health of the organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.

- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.

- Participate in special projects and assignments as needed.
- Assist with system implementations and process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR anticipated completion within 12 months of hire
- 1+ year(s) of experience in accounting or related field
- Experience utilizing accounting software
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to commute to our Wixom, MI location, as business needs require
