Primary Responsibilities For The Engineer - Lean Improvement:

  • Responsible for disposition of non-compliant material through rework remediation or scrap determination.
  • Primary operator support for material quality determination and routing reviews.
  • Aids development and deployment of visual management tools to support production goals.
  • Recommend process improvements using data analysis, lean manufacturing tools, and visual process controls to optimize quality, reduce lead time and eliminate waste.
  • Integrate appropriate tool use into recommendations (flow, quality, lead time, changeovers, waste elimination).
  • Actively engaged in ensuring a safe workplace and continually emphasizes importance of safety.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.


Required For The Engineer - Lean Improvement:

  • At least one year of engineering and/or lean working experience is preferred.
  • Entry Level Prior knowledge and practical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting with exposure to Lean Manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Prior knowledge/experience with the Toyota Production System is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical, problem-solving skills


Education:

  • College degree in Engineering discipline preferred.
