Position Summary: BGA seeks dependable drivers with both P and S endorsements to transport students for sports games, events, and local routes to school in the morning and afternoon.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills:
- Drive safely along designated routes.
- Obey traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit regulations.
- Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations.
- Communicate with passengers and employers regarding delays or any issues along a route.
- Be familiar with bus routes, schedules, and general areas, keeping routes on time.
- Promote safety at all times by keeping the first aid kit and emergency road kits fully stocked.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, and tracking of children.
- Ensure the use of child safety restraints required by state law.
- Ensure proper verification procedures for evacuation of the vehicle based on the type of vehicle and the ages of the children served.
Requirements
• CDL with P and S endorsement is required.
• Experience and knowledge of driving a bus.
• Clean driving and ability to pass background checks.
Salary Description
