This is a remote role based in the United States for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones

What The Day Will Look Like

The Project Manager I is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our products against the signed-off scope of work. They are responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire lifecycle (Pre-Project, Deliver, Determine) ensuring strong project governance throughout. To ensure this happens the Project Manager I must be familiar with system and project scope, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

The Project Manager I must also support with improving operational efficiency and implementing continuous improvement activities to ensure projects meet and exceed Aon’s and our client’s standards of service.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality services throughout the full project lifecycle (end to end) against the signed-off scope of work and within the agreed project timelines
  • Manage changes to project scope and project scheduling using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, reflective of authorised project changes
  • Ensures there is a common understanding through settling and communicating expectations in accordance with the project plan and project documentation, to all key stakeholders and team members
  • Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor, identify and quantify variances, perform and manage corrective actions and ensure this is communicated accordingly
  • Responsible for project milestones and checkpoint criteria in accordance with Aon governance criteria
  • Responsible for managing varying project complexities including new clients
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of project status throughout its lifecycle
  • Works to ensure loyalty and trust, handles oneself ethically following core values and beliefs ensuring cooperation among team members
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to increase project and process efficiency
  • Actively collaborates with project teams including virtual teams across Aon
  • Builds mutual trust and encourages respect and cooperation among team members

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management or working as a corporate Business Analyst
  • PMP, Agile certification or the completion of other formal Project Management training
  • Ability to travel internationally, up to 25% of the time
  • Prior experience managing projects with off-shore resources
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based Project Management Software (Wrike, Monday.com, JIRA, Bird View Easy Projects, etc.)
  • Proven experience working with enterprise customers, leading client workshops and gathering project requirements from stakeholders
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, a related field, or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
