Purpose

Responsible for technical accounting research, corporate accounting and financial reporting activities including preparation of quarterly US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and annual US GAAP financial statements. Assists with annual audit process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting
  • Manage external audits for annual financial statements, including management of deliverables and preparation of financial statements
  • Research new accounting standards and manage the implementation of those standards as needed
  • Conduct accounting research for various business transactions as needed
  • Draft White Papers and Accounting memos to support new business transactions
  • Finance policy maintenance and creation of new policies as needed
  • Oversee data management and data maintenance
  • Review and approve updates to ERP financial data
  • Update Business Intelligence metrics and reports as needed
  • Supervise the Business Data Specialist
  • BlackLine administration
  • Manage issues related to areas of responsibility as they arise to identify root cause and determine appropriate process improvements to resolve various issues
  • Work with the Director of Corporate Accounting and Accounting Manager to help build stronger internal controls and procedures over assigned areas
  • Work with other finance professionals on annual projects that support departmental goals
  • Help with other projects and tasks as needed:
  • Revamp chart of accounts and reporting structure
  • Model Company core values
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree with accounting concentration and five (5) years of experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, theory and practice
  • Intermediate or advanced expertise with Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to learn new systems and train others
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with a high degree of individual initiative
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence
  • Proven knowledge of databases and systems
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with large multi-location organizations
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
