Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Procurement in their northern Maine facility! Candidates for this position should come with at least 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain as well as a Bachelor's Degree in one of those fields. Candidates will have the responsibility of devising and implementing strategies for acquiring materials, products, and services to aid our client's operations and objectives.

- Ensure the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of all procurement activities
- Formulate and implement comprehensive strategies for procurement operations
- Assess market conditions and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Engage in negotiation and contract management with external vendors
- Track trends in material and labor costs
- Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures
- Identify and act upon opportunities for cost reduction
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with external vendors
- Lead, inspire, and foster the growth of a team of procurement experts
- Ensure compliance of all procurement activities with internal policies and external regulations
