Job Details:
Our company is seeking a dynamic and strategic Permanent Controller to join our Finance department. The successful candidate will provide leadership and coordination of the company's financial planning, debt financing, budget management functions, and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. The Permanent Controller will be responsible for the financial health of our organization, producing financial reports, and developing strategies based on financial research. This role is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in financial operations within a fast-paced, innovative, and highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Manage and oversee all financial and accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
3. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
4. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
5. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
6. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
7. Support month-end and year-end close process.
8. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the finance industry, with proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
4. Experience with creating financial statements and financial reporting.
5. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
6. In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
7. Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
8. Proficiency in grant accounting and general ledger functions.
9. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
10. Proven ability to direct and supervise a team.
11. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts so that it is understandable to colleagues and stakeholders.
13. Experience in financial auditing.
