As a Equipment Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our equipment is in top-notch condition, always ready to support our team in delivering outstanding results. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a knack for mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities:

As a Equipment Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all mechanical equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
2. Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase operational efficiency.
3. Coordinating with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of new equipment and spare parts.
4. Managing the equipment budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness in all operations.
5. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
6. Keeping an accurate inventory of all equipment and tools, and maintaining records of all maintenance and repair works.
7. Training staff on the proper use and handling of equipment to prevent accidents and damage.
8. Evaluating the performance of equipment regularly and making recommendations for upgrades or replacements when necessary.

Qualifications:

To be a successful Permanent Equipment Manager, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
2. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
3. Proven experience in managing and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced setting.
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery operation, and maintenance procedures.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficiency in using computer software for inventory management, record keeping, and reporting.
9. A commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different work sites as needed.
