As they continue growing, they are looking for a Data Engineer to assist in creating a new cloud-native automotive data platform. This platform, built on AWS, will utilize advanced data technologies to integrate data from various sources for real-time analytics in their application. The Data Engineer will also optimize the SaaS application and establish connections with technology partners in the automotive data field.


What YOU get to DO at this innovative company?

  • Develop a robust streaming data platform on AWS, sourcing data internally and externally through various methods.
  • Build and manage a scalable data lake with modern governance controls and specialized data consumption zones.
  • Automate data quality processes and deliver actionable insights through analytics and reporting.
  • Utilize Terraform to create shared services and optimize data storage for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain infrastructure and support database deployments while staying updated on emerging technologies.


What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role?

  • 3 years of experience in Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) and Git as a version control system.
  • 5 years of expertise in Python and SQL and have worked with BI tools such as Looker, QuickSight, Tableau, or PowerBI.
  • Experience with query engines like Athena, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
  • Skilled in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, event-based architectures using Kafka or Kinesis, and optimizing costs on platforms like AWS or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in AWS Lambdas or Step Functions, data orchestration tools, Continuous Integration tools (particularly CircleCI or Github Actions), application performance monitoring using DataDog, and a strong understanding of DevOps principles.
  • Familiarity with Avro, schema evolution, schema registries, and data catalog tools like Alation.
