Why this job – CONTROLLER:
As the Controller, you will be responsible for the company's day-to-day accounting, reporting, and operational activities. What You'll Actually Do:
- Own day-to-day accounting operations, covering general ledger management, internal controls, external audits, account reconciliations, and cash management
- Prepare financial reports, including those for the ownership team
- Analyze balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
- Provide reliable analytical and financial guidance to the company's owners
- Build, track, and maintain budgets and budget to actuals for multiple projects
- Oversee important external relationships, such as with the company's bank and select vendors/customers
- Contribute to researching and implementing new software, possibly ERP system (currently on QuickBooks Online)
- Help get the new Texas office location up & running - some travel required
- Basic Human Resources functions such as payroll processing and benefits administration
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 6+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including a few years in a small company as a stand-alone Accounting Manager or Controller
- Demonstrated experience building processes & implementing procedures for a small company
- Experience and desire to wear a lot of hats / Mindset of no task too small
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks
- Positive attitude and business maturity
- QuickBooks experience
Where and How Much:
- Target Compensation $140K-160k DOE
- In-office role - Greeley / Flexible schedule
