About the Role

Join our team at Stratford School, where the Preschool Floater Teacher plays a vital role in providing support and assistance across two different locations. You will engage with a diverse group of preschool and pre-K students, collaborating with classroom teachers while gaining valuable experience in school and classroom environments. This position offers the opportunity to step in and lead classrooms when needed, making it an ideal role for individuals eager to develop their teaching skills.

  • Implement curriculum
  • Collaborate with other faculty and staff members
  • Assist in classroom management and behavior
  • Provide support in the classroom or office as needed

 

What we are looking for

  • Completion of 12-semester or 18-quarter units in early childhood education, including coursework covering child development, family dynamics, community involvement, and program/curriculum development. Alternatively, possession of a bachelor's degree in child development or a related field.
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute between the two school locations.
  • Demonstrate patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred
