Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
Multiple locations will be considered: Poway, CA and Huntsville, AL.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under general direction, performs pricing of proposals and directs support of pre-award, post-award and fact finding audits.
- Supervises development and maintenance of cost estimating system and other cost estimating duties to achieve business objectives.
- Coordinates with other proposal team members to review basis of estimates (BOEs) and ensure compliance with business process policies and procedures.
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
- Performs what-if analysis by using cost/pricing data including rates and factors
- Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
- Interprets FAR and CAS regulations relating to pricing.
- Develops and maintains customer pricing spreadsheet. Prepares reports, charts, and graphs of findings.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
