Job Description:

The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences offers college-level American Sign Language courses in the following formats: face-to-face and live online via Zoom utilizing Canvas (PSC's learning management system). Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, and maintain College and department standards. This position reports to Mr. Scott Schackmann, Department Head, Humanities & Social Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications: To teach college-level courses, graduation from an accredited institution with a Master's degree in American Sign Language OR a Master's degree AND 18 graduate hours in any combination in the following qualifying fields: American Sign Language, Deaf Education, Deaf Studies, Special Education with an Emphasis in Deaf Education, or Speech Pathology and Audiology. Successful results of a criminal background check are also required. Instructors must be able to use and demonstrate the use of technology required for assigned course(s).

Salary Range: Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows:

Master's Degree: $33.00

Doctorate: $36.00

NOTE: This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled by the department on an as needed basis.
