Advertised Position Title:
Groundskeeper (Second Shift)
Job Description:
Performs grounds keeping tasks in a competent and dependable manner. Tasks include mowing, line trimming, pruning, herbicide application, athletic field and greenhouse maintenance, construction and maintenance of landscape beds, snow removal and de-icing operations, recycling operations, litter control and other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of safe operation of job-related equipment such as tractors, end loaders, lawn mowers, etc. Knowledge of grounds/ landscaping practices and procedures Knowledge of job-related herbicides and ability to comprehend and read labels.
Operation of necessary equipment related to job responsibilities. Ability to properly trim trees and prune bushes and other plants.
Ability to performs necessary tasks in a timely and competent manner. Must have valid driver's license and be able to maintain insurability through the College's insurance.

- Must be motivated and show initiative in performance of responsibilities. Ability to work well with others. People skills.

Event set-up/tear down/furniture moving and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Two years directly related experience in landscaping/grounds/nursery work. Must be physically able to perform necessary tasks.
Must have valid driver's license and maintain insurability through the college's insurance.
