Our Chicago, IL site provides toxicology testing and research laboratory services and specialized pre-clinical studies in support of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products.
Position/Job Summary: The Associate/Assistant Toxicologist plays a key, hands on role in the conduct of preclinical studies and supports the Study Director to ensure that Sponsor studies are conducted properly and according to FDA guidelines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Duties include handling, dosing, weighing, and observing animals.
- Recording and summarizing data. Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLPs) as well as previous experience in the conduct of toxicology studies or animal handling is a plus.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLPSs) as well as past experience in the conduct of toxicology studies or animal handling is a plus.
- Candidates must have a BS degree in animal/veterinary science, biology, or related disciplines.
- AALAS accreditation is a plus.
- The Associate Toxicologist position requires 0-3 years of experience.
- The Assistant Toxicologist position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
