Description
Job Summary:
Drive tractor trailer to deliver and merchandise beverages to customer locations. Delivery stops will vary between unloading product to the ground using a lift gate and six wheeled cart and backing the trailer into a dock and unloading using an electric or manual pallet jack. Drivers are required to deliver in a timely and customer service focused manner. Routes begin between 5 and 6 AM and work until all deliveries are completed averaging approximately 10 hours per day.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Drive tractor trailer in a safe and responsible manner following all Federal, State, and company guidelines and regulations
- Maintain a high level of professional image and customer focus
- Operate electric/manual hand held computer and printer
- Deliver and merchandise products
- Control inventory to ensure product freshness and security
- Execute marketing programs
- Conduct care and maintenance of equipment
- Handling and securing of cash and other payments
- Operate electric and manual pallet jack as well as six wheeled and 2 wheeled cart
- Live and model the BBG Vision and TEAM BROWN Values
- Execute other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and 60 pounds intermittently
- Work approximately 10 hours per day
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, standing, walking, and squatting frequently
Work Environment:
- Tolerate working in cold temperatures as low as 35 degrees for prolonged periods of time
- Able work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A MS Driver's license with clear MVR
- Must have a valid DOT medical card
- Excellent communication/negotiation skills
- Minimum of 1 year of sales or merchandising experience required
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to transition verbal or written communication/directive to in-store execution
- Sufficient math skills to perform calculations of margins and other sales related functions
