PRIMARY TASKS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Deliver first aid and administer medication per policy. Develop individual health plans and implement action plans for acute illnesses or injuries. Promote and protect the physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being of students/staff. Utilize communication skills to coordinate student care and provide health education to parents/staff. Assist with the integration and participation of assigned students within the classroom setting. Perform support tasks to enhance the effectiveness of the learning environment and maintain supportive and inclusive environments. Work within the classroom and participate as an effective member across all settings in a manner that promotes collaboration for student success by carrying out team decisions as assigned, contributing relevant information, and assisting with planning, problem solving, and decision making.

EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

RN or LPN required. At least two years clinical experience. Prefer "critical care, emergency room, or pediatric home health" nursing experience. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
