Position Summary:
Perform nursing functions within prescribed area as directed by a physician and care plan. Provide the best care possible and ensure that every resident receives quality personal and appropriate care that they require and deserve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide great patient care
- Assume responsibility for assigned residents and the quality of care, according to physician orders and care plan
- Participates in care planning
- Administration of medications
- Vitals, and documentation of observations and care provided
- Observe all safety precautions
- Provide supervision, guidance, instruction and support to non-professional personnel as needed
- Communicates and assists interdisciplinary team
- Assume charge responsibility as assigned or necessary
- Attend report. Make rounds as assigned
- Be willing to float to other units as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Preferably some experience within health care and a long-term care setting
- Current valid MA nursing license
- Genuine interest in senior care
