Practice Description
Fairview Health Services is seeking a Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our growing Acute Pain Management team at M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville (along with some coverage at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital, M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital and M Health Fairview St John's Hospital).
The Pain Management Physician Assistant functions in the capacity of a consultant provider. The PA is responsible for collaborative management of pain management conditions in patients with chronic and also acute pain conditions. Primary responsibility for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, patient and family education related to diagnostic services, disease processes, and a plan of care while hospitalized.
Practice Details:
- Inpatient pain management practice.
- We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
- Primarily Monday through Friday. No call.
- 1.0 FTE
- Established group of inpatient APPs in a Pain Management program that has been in place across the Fairview system for many years.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- BC/BE through the NCCPA.
- Licensed or ability to obtain PA license through Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- BLS certified
