A bit about us:

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a position in our Commercial Litigation section. In this position, you will be providing complex litigation and trial support for the section’s cases and attorneys. The work is fast-paced and deadline-driven.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 am-6:30 pm, with one hour for lunch. Availability for weekends and extra hours during trial times is required.

Limited opportunity for some remote work on Mondays and Fridays after 90 days.

Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's most respected legal professionals, gaining invaluable experience and exposure to a wide range of commercial litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys in all aspects of commercial litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
2. Conducting complex legal research and fact-finding investigations.
3. Managing case files, maintaining case calendars, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely filings.
4. Preparing and organizing exhibits, documents, and evidence for use in court proceedings.
5. Coordinating with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
6. Reviewing and summarizing depositions, medical records, and other discovery materials.
7. Providing support in court proceedings, including note-taking and managing trial exhibits.
8. Assisting in the preparation and filing of briefs, motions, and other legal documents in the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Commercial Litigation Paralegal position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably within a commercial litigation setting.
2. Proficiency in Delaware Court of Chancery procedures and filings.
3. Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
4. Proficiency in legal research platforms and software
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
7. Knowledge of the rules of civil procedure and evidence.
8. Experience in trial preparation and in-court support is a plus.
