Application Engineer

Job Title: Application Engineer
Duration: Contract to direct hire, long-term
Location: Erie, PA
Pay range: $35-$45/hr DOE

Job Responsibilities:
Leading manufacturer of dehydration and purification equipment for the Natural Gas and Oil & Gas markets is looking for highly motivated individuals to learn and grow with the company towards the goals of applications engineering with existing and new clients.
Will be working with suppliers to size and select proper desiccant materials to meet parameters of the drying and/or purification process
Will confirm process inlet and outlet parameters required for sizing desiccant beds
Individual will communicate directly with customers to analyze the specific application requirements

Assist in cost estimating and formally submit a technical / commercial proposal solving their dehydration/purification needs


Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, ideally in mechanical or chemical engineering/chemistry is highly preferred.
1+ years of Practical experience in field/plant setting or process design capabilities
Familiarity with major process components including valves, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.
Familiar with solid adsorbents (molecular sieve and/or activated alumina) is a plus
Familiarization with thermodynamics, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves and instrumentation is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required
