As a Project Manager with Cove, you will be surrounded by the best in the business, working as a team towards a common goal across a geographical territory. The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and sound judgment to manage a large number of concurrently running construction projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the home renovation process from hiring contractors, coordinating schedules, managing inspections to ordering materials and daily oversight of subcontractors.
  • Oversee the turn key set-up of new modular homes including researching prospectuses, setback requirements, permitting, hiring contractors and make sure homes adhere to Cove community standards and fit within the overall budget requirements.
  • Drive minor capital improvement projects such as clubhouse remodels, sport court renovations, and infrastructure upgrades across a regional territory from concept to completion.
  • Provide guidance to the operations team on unforeseen/unbudgeted projects/issues.
  • Expected to be a field matter expert across multiple disciplines from underground infrastructure, general building construction to mechanical and plumbing in order to guide the decision-making process.
  • Be accountable for the projects performance and ensure that the company strategies and financial objectives are implemented effectively to achieve the overall project goals.
  • Effectively lead on site construction meetings with contractors, engineers and consultants.
  • Drive, develop, and cultivate relationships with architects, engineers, sub-contractors, inspectors and consultants.
  • Travel is required, including some overnight trips. Individual must have the ability to travel via all forms of commercial transportation as required and have the ability/access to drive a vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (engineering, construction management, architecture, real estate development) or equivalent education or experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience, specifically in asset management or construction management.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
  • Thorough knowledge of general construction guidelines and standards.
  • Must have advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and labor costs in construction, plus a good knowledge of the uses and costs of materials.
  • Ability to multi-task, which requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and quality.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a process improvement oriented mindset.
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Solid understanding of local, state and federal building code requirements.
