About the Role

We are looking for a Network Engineer responsible for the design, development, implementation, and migration of IT networks and infrastructure brought to Hub International through Mergers & Acquisitions(M&A). This role ensures the stability, security, and integrity of local area network, wide area network, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure IT Infrastructure is sufficiently robust, secure and simplifies delivery of integrated services across the organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and manage work with service providers for installation, preventative maintenance, upgrade, migration, repair, and outage remediation.
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential network issues and implement solutions proactively.
  • Design and write custom scripts to automate manual tasks.
  • Provide project updates to project sponsors, stakeholders, and upper management.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and cross functional business partners to deliver projects and support day-to-day operation.
  • Research and provide solutions to enhance IT capabilities to improve business growth.
  • Work on multiple projects and manage day-to-day operations, concurrently.
  • Assist and mentor other team members.


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in managing enterprise level networks.
  • Expert knowledge in Enterprise Networking: LAN, WAN, DATA CENTER, Wireless CLOUD NETWORKING
  • Expert knowledge in Dynamic routing protocols: EIGRP, iBGP,
  • Expert knowledge in Data Center concepts: VRF, VSS, VPC, NetFlow.
  • Highly knowledgeable in Network troubleshooting: Packet capture, Analysis, firmware upgrade
  • Experience working with large-scale networks.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with network platforms
  • Advanced network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills
  • Strong experience with, and advanced knowledge in the following protocols & technologies: QoS, Multicast, BGP, IPSEC & VPNs, Telemetry, packet capture and analysis
  • Strong time management and prioritization
  • TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
  • CCNP Certification
  • ACE-L3 Certification
  • PCNSA Certification
  • Knowledge of cloud VPC, Direct connect, cloud security, and virtualized firewalls
  • Overall understanding of integrations; data and systems
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment and show initiative to take on responsibilities.
  • Decision-making, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management with the ability to organize, assess, and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiar with solutions hosted in the cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Willingness to grow and share his/her knowledge with others on the team.


Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience


Although hybrid to Chicago is preferred, this position is open to remote candidates.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $120K to $130K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
