Hyperion Insights is a Digital Marketing agency and content production studio specializing in boutique, high-end campaigns for SMBs and online publications. Our clients tend to work in "professional service" industries, such as lawyers, doctors, wealth managers, dentists, etc.
Our company (and our video studio) is headquartered in Scottsdale, but we have team members throughout the United States and in a few other countries as well.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Video Editor at Hyperion Insights. As the Videographer and Video Editor, you will report directly to the Video Production Manager and assume the role of editor for all projects under Hyperion Insights. This role encompasses content creation for our internal brand, The Nutrition Insider, as well as for our clients. The role is located in Scottsdale, AZ, with flexibility for some remote work.
You will be expected to edit a range of video content types, integrating deliberate dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, and other effects to enrich the storytelling experience.
You will also lead production for all video shoots, both in our video studio and on-location for The Nutrition Insider and for our clients. You must be able to demonstrate proficiency in setting up and independently leading video shoots.
Robust skills in lighting, audio, and the ability to direct talent confidently are also required.
Some of your responsibilities will include
- Video shoots on location with clients and in our studio
- Editing videos for clients
- Helping create scripts
- Collaborating with clients
- Helping produce a variety of video formats, including social media shorts/reels, short-form videos for YouTube, and longer-form videos for YouTube (up to 10-15 minutes each)
Qualifications
- Video Production and Video Editing skills
- Experience in Video Color Grading
- Motion Graphics and Graphics creation skills
- Strong attention to detail, which includes using the word "polish" in the first sentence of their cover letter
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in video editing software (with a preference for Adobe software)
- Experience in the marketing or advertising industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field
