Summary :

The Nursing Data Analyst will partner with nursing operations to deliver thorough data analysis from multiple sources and information repository and provide operational insight to accelerate decision making by focusing on the critical needs of Nursing Operations. These analyses will influence changes to nursing practices, policies and structures with the end result of improving patient care outcomes. Conduct research, provides quantitative data analysis, organizes findings and builds presentations

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

  • Works collaboratively with system leaders (quality, finance, human resources and other key support areas) to ensure alignment of nursing division metrics with system goals.
  • Serves as a resource to CNO to gather and analyze data providing actionable information allowing rapid response to needed changes in the nursing enterprise.
  • Leverages existing platforms and programs to extract and synthesize nursing data.
  • Assembles data into actionable information for diverse audiences to rapidly identify key improvement opportunities.
  • Submits nursing metrics to NDNQI and other identified repositories.
  • Maintains system nursing dashboard of key quality, service and workforce measures.
  • Identifies and supports process improvement initiatives by building customized reports to accelerate the identification of key improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors in Nursing
  • License: State of Wisconsin RN License

Physical Demands

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
  • Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

Work Environment

  • Normally works in climate controlled office environment
  • Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space
  • Use of computers throughout work day
  • Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist and fingers
