Want to join a fast-moving company, among convivial teams and take part in the global growth strategy of one of the most prestigious brand in spirits industry? We are looking for an Head of Martell Prestige & Ultra Prestige! You will be based at The Island, our office in central Paris.

The Head of Ultra Prestige is to lead the design and development (not the route to market/commercial development) of disruptive and/or unique and/or new to world products, ranges, and service rituals and experiences within Ultra Prestige cognac, and to manage a sustainable pipeline of value growth relays for the company to invest behind.

The Head of Ultra Prestige will be responsible for the development and marketing of any Martell product within Ultra Prestige defined as greater than RRP of of $150 (however this excludes any limited editions or extensions of brands already in existence below this price point - for consistency this will be handled by the existing portfolio team):

  • L'OR (and the relevant zodiac limited edition collections)
  • Vintage collections
  • Martell Dame-Jeanne collection
  • Martell cask proposals
  • Cordon Bleu
  • XO XXO
  • Any new products and brands within Ultra Prestige

This position will manage 4 full time FTEs (brand/product manager and creative content manager) plus 1 intern

The main responsibilities are:

Analyse and Identify white spaces

In collaboration with foresight (HQ) and business acceleration Team in MMPJ including Planning/Strategy/RTM/RGM, identify white spaces on which MMPJ will be legitimate to stretch its value proposition, especially within luxury: consolidate consumer and trade insights, monitor competitive environment, quantify and prioritize most relevant size of the price

Design, Develop and Prototype

  • With the support of the relevant business acceleration teams, formalize relevant business models/plans
  • Translate business opportunities (with the assistant of the style teams) into ultra prestige creative platforms: product, brands, services, experiences etc.
  • Engage internal resources (style team, purchasing, industrial, cellars) to develop, prototype and deliver at scale for experimentation
  • Engage and inspire relevant market companies (both brand and prestige teams) to utilise the different product/creative platforms and to implement and support them in market.
  • Engage external strategic partners such as Comité Colbert and other luxury houses to develop brand partnerships and promote cultural exchange

Assess and Prioritize

With the support of the business planning team,

  • provide regular assessments of ongoing experimentations (business dashboards, adhoc project updates)
  • Recommend main priorities to invest/disinvest behind as part of the MMPJ planning process (budget, RSA)

Manage the development of new content/experiences for Ultra prestige collection

  • With the support of the other brand teams and Style team, manage the development of any creative content to support all Ultra prestige projects.
  • This will include all digital films, Key visuals, and social assets. This will also include the development of new brand experiences for the brand home and luxury pos etc.

  • You have a Bachelor with 15+ years of experience in the luxury spirits business and proven track record in prestige spirits category and above.
  • You have excellent communication and influence skills and can navigate across different markets with different needs.
  • You are creative and have already strong experiences on product development and innovation in luxury
  • You have a strategic mindset , able to share your vision and shape it into efficient plans and actions
