Position: Safety Systems Fire Technician
Location: Durham, NC
Pay: $85,000/yr
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a fire system technician.
Education: High school diploma or GED
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift
Greene Resources is seeking a Safety Systems Fire Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Support all fire alarm and fire protection inspections and testing.
- Ensure all fire alarm systems comply with local and federal regulations and NFPA codes.
- Develop and maintain fire alarm system network, troubleshooting, and supervisory log with root causes and corrective actions.
- Complete maintenance, device repairs, and services including Smokes, VESDA, NAC Panels, A/Vs, Pull Stations, Fire Extinguishers, Sprinkler systems, PIVs, Hydrants, etc.
- Support other life safety systems including continuous gas detection devices.
Position Requirements:
- NICET level 1 certification and a Fire Alarm License.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of the International Fire Code, NFPA, and OSHA.
- Knowledge of Fire Protection and Fire Alarm systems including VESDA, Hazard Fire Suppression Systems, Sprinkler Systems, and Fire Alarm and Detection Devices.
- Self-motivated, high performing, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
