Hardware Engineer - Sunnyvale, CA


Job Description:

Meta is looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA! This position will be responsible for defining electrical characterization/validation test methodologies

for AR Smart Glasses prototype specifically within the sensors, audio, and/or camera subsystems.


Responsibilities:

  • Define electrical characterization/validation methodologies for sensors, audio, camera subsystems by working with domain leads and partners
  • Track and execute on detailed test plans for the PCB, modules, subsystems characterization to meet key deadlines and priority goals. Characterization coverage includes low speed signal interface (I2C, I2S, SPI, PDM...etc), I/O signals, high speed differential interface (MIPI, USB ...etc), sensors, microphones, cameras
  • Develop automated test setups with SW scripting to implement module characterization/validation
  • Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of results.
  • Support system bring up and debug activities
  • Clearly communicate test plans and results


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Electrical subsystem testing for consumer electronics
  • Experience executing electrical testing on the bench and automated testing
  • Must know how to read schematics
  • Experience with one of the subsystems - sensors, audio, camera
  • Experience executing electrical testing on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber.
  • Understanding of board schematics and board layout. Ability to find proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT.
  • Experience with data processing and lab automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated and team player


Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Board and system level Validation and debugging experience
  • C/C++ and shell scripting is nice to have.
  • Experience with data acquisition device (DAQ).
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
