Region 2 - June 19th, 2024 to July 11th, 2024, Skowhegan DOT lot

Job Description:

This is a Transportation Worker position on the Pug Mill crew during the summer season. During the Pug Mill season, this position requires extensive regionwide travel and potential of stayaways. While serving on the Pug Mill Crew, the TW in this position is responsible for ensuring equipment is fueled and inspected daily, maintaining cleanliness of work area, raking and shoveling millings away from equipment, assisting with equipment maintenance, and helps to clean the Pug Mill at the end of every day. This position will haul water as needed, operate a skid steer and loader, as well as other equipment necessary to ensure continual operation of the Pug Mill during ongoing production. The selected candidate must be available for the full duration of the temporary assignment. Preference will be given to candidates with Bobcat/Skid Steer certification, and four wheel loader certification.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must meet the following experience criteria:

  • A current TW with MaineDOT

Licensing/Registration/Certification Requirements:

  • Class B State of Maine driver's license
  • Tanker Endorsement
