Quala is North America's largest independent network of tank cleaning, maintenance, and industrial services offering comprehensive inspections, testing, and repairs for the chemical, food, and transportation industries. We service a variety of bulk containers, including: Tank Trailers, IBC/ Totes containers, ISO containers, Railcars, Roll-off containers, and FRAC Tanks.
We are searching for CDL B Drivers in our Baton Rouge, LA branch. Day shift with weekend hours on occasion.
Pay is $22 -$23 an hour depending on experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Load and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Perform daily inspections on trucks and other equipment used.
- Pick up the specified load from each customer site scheduled for the day.
- Ensure that customers have packaged and prepared the load according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations prior to transport.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts on a daily basis, communicating any issues to the Transportation Manager/Supervisor or Dispatcher for resolution including re-routes, adjustments in container sizes, training, etc.
Requirements:
- CDL B
- Manual Transmission endorsement required
- TWIC Card preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Mechanical ability and inclination strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, decision-making ability, sound judgment, and safety-oriented.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English for comprehension of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) chemical information.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and effectively deal with a wide array of people
