Avera St. Mary’s is currently seeking a Flex Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
- The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care.
- The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards.
- The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.
- All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.
- Staff is required to perform their duties effectively.
- Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera’s Mission and Avera’s Service Excellence Standards.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Associate’s Degree at minimum.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience.
- 3-5 years of experience is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current licensure with the State of SD as a Registered Nurse or multi-state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff
- NRP is required by 1 year of employment in Women’s Center.
- S.T.A.B.L.E is required by 2 years of employment in the Women’s Center.
- ACLS is recommended but not required.
- PALS is recommended but not required.
Work Schedule
- Varied shifts as needed; PRN
